We envision a world where people live to love and serve.
At Gift the World, we don’t give physical aid. We ignite the joy of giving and the wellbeing that comes from feeling interconnected, to target poverty at its root.
Nearly half the world lives on less than £5/day, even though just .02% of the global GDP would be enough to end poverty.
Why this gap?
There is a deeper inner poverty, a fundamental poverty of heart. This stems from people feeling disconnected from themselves, each other, and the world. This has given rise to a growing sense of apathy around the world.
To alleviate external poverty, we must reignite the fundamental understanding of our inherent interconnection. As people internalize this positive change, they become active agents for good in the world.
We measure success not simply in mouths fed, but in lives improved, in peaceful and happy communities, and in overall reduction of hunger and poverty globally.
Serving
Serving is inherent in Nature. Each aspect of Nature benefits others in some way. True service happens when we understand that it is not about “me”.
Our Values
Caring
We can’t be okay when our neighbors are suffering without food, water, or shelter. Caring for them is caring for ourselves and all life.
Connecting
The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. We bring together expertise and perspectives from a wide range of backgrounds to innovate new ways to serve the world.
Understanding
Understanding is the foundation of true connection and positive action. We seek to build shared understanding in all we do.
Compassion
Compassion is everyone’s birthright. It is not sentiment, but a profound state of presence in which you feel communion with humanity and all life. We strive to embody this and to support it in everyone.
